Underfoot looks up public records about a house. To do that it needs the address you type — and nothing else. You don't need an account.
What we store
- The address you check and the report we build for it. Reports are saved so you can reopen or share them. Anyone with a report's link can view it.
- A theme preference (light, dark or automatic), kept only in your browser.
- Basic server logs (time, page requested, approximate error details) to keep the service running. We don't use them to profile you.
What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your information — to agents, lenders, marketers or anyone.
- We don't run advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
- When you paste a listing link, we read only the address in it; we don't fetch the listing.
Who we send addresses to
To build a report, the address or its map location is sent to the public data services that hold the records — King and Snohomish County GIS, Washington state agencies (DNR, Ecology, OSPI), federal services (FEMA, USGS, USDA, FCC) and OpenStreetMap-based routing and map services. Each report lists every source it used.
Deleting a report
You can delete any report from your report list. Deleted reports are removed from our database.
